Teacher Effectiveness Services

We offer a wide-variety of workshops, lectures, and consulting services to help schools and districts improve their teacher effectiveness.

While each school has its own unique needs, many schools can improve their teacher effectiveness by working on following areas:

Data Driven Success

Developing a cohesive system of data collection, analysis and decision-making is one of the most effective tools a school leader can have. Looking at data gathered from four sources (Perception, Demographic, Student Assessment, and School Progress) enables the leadership team to develop specific prevention and intervention strategies. This strand emphasizes the academic, social, and emotional development of the student.

The Mastery-Matrix ©

To determine mastery of a skill or concept, two factors are essential: Depth of Knowledge (DOK) and the students’ ability to apply the skill or concept in multiple ways at multiple levels. Teachers who understand how to use the Mastery-Matrix © effectively will see students master various subjects by applying skills and concepts in three different ways and at three different levels.

Peer-to-Peer Teaching

For students to succeed, each year should be preparation for the next. It’s essential to align curriculum both horizontally and vertically so that teachers not only work with their peers in the same grade, but also make sure that the teachers in the classes before and after them are working together, so that each year kids are learning new concepts, rather than reviewing old ones. 12th grade teachers should ultimately have an impact on what 1st grade teachers are covering. Our tools and techniques can help you make collaborative peer-to-peer teaching core to your culture.

Using Data for Decision-Making

How do you assess your students? How do you know if your student is achieving or not? Educators are barraged by data, but they don’t always know what’s important to look at. Here we’ll teach you how to put processes in place to maximize student success. We’ll also teach you how to track the important data through tools such as “data notebooks,” “data walls,” and how to ignore the noise.

Embedding 21st Century Skills in your Educational Community

Learn how to use 21st Century tools and where to integrate them into your learning environment. Incorporating tools such as social networking, podcasting, video, Wikis, and digital storyboards into your curriculum will help prepare students to harness technology and be equipped to live in the digital world.

Our services and workshops will always be customized to meet your school’s/district’s unique needs and we can address many more areas. Contact us to learn more.
