The students are central to our organization. We don’t let unions or politics trump the needs of the kids. At the same time, we support teachers, staff, and administration with our personally designed comprehensive, systematic methods to increase achievement and improve school culture.
Of course we want the teachers and parents to be happy, but our number one focus is on the students.
Every decision at every level needs to support what is best for them. We teach schools how to focus on students first and have found that everything else will fall into place around them. After all, schools are made for students; they should be foremost in every decision. The core of the caring and involvement that makes up what EES is comes from focusing on students’ needs. It may not always be the most comfortable situation for teachers, so we always support leaders in making any hard calls they need to make – assuming they are in the best interest of the kids.
