iLead 21
iLead 21 is a three year, progressive leadership development program that focuses on 5 key leadership principles. Students form a company and progress through a series of leadership problem-based leadership development tasks. As they earn tokens, they move up through 21 levels of the Leadership Development Ladder and refine the skills needed to lead themselves, and lead the world. iLeaders also join a closed networking site to collaborate virtually with leaders from other schools, and to interact with and learn from established leaders from diverse for- and non-profit industries. Using Data to Improve Test Scores
Anchored in the guided inquiry process, we will teach your team how to analyze the school’s collected data and identify key areas of strength as well as areas in need of improvement. Using data-based decision making, participants will identify root causes for the achievement gaps and devise potential strategies that could be implemented.
Dropout Prevention
We can help your faculty and staff to identify those students who are at-risk then builds a framework for designing tiered interventions. By examining existing school policies and providing schools with a platform for modification to existing policies and procedures that enable all students to succeed. By creating a school culture that encourages positive relationships among faculty, students, parents and the community, students are more likely to stay in school.
Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment
Drug and alcohol abuse has serious consequences in our homes, schools, and communities. Research-based prevention is key to curbing abuse in youth. By increasing the academic and social competence of students, students become empowered to resist substance abuse. Strategies will focus on study habits and academic support; communication; peer relationships; self-efficacy and assertiveness; drug resistance skills; and strengthening of personal commitments against substance abuse.
Transforming At-Risk Students
Using national research along with school and community demographics, we will help you to identify students at-risk for school failure. With the help of the Pyramid of Interventions, we will help you create a system to address the needs of the at-risk student. We’ll also teach you strategies for creating smooth transitions for at-risk students, including how to successfully transition at risk students from elementary to middle and middle to high school. Techniques include: establishing a transition committee, incorporating wikis, and utilizing podcasting and social networking into the overall experience.
